Building skills, strengthening teams, and empowering communities.

Individual Success
When JF joined our Supported Employment program, his goal was to complete high school, with the support of his mentor. Not only did he finish high school but he began applying for jobs. JF gained the skills and confidence to go after his career goals and create a brighter future for himself. After graduating the PMC program, JF got a job working for the airlines. After that he moved to Baffinland, where he has since been promoted to Inuit Recruitment Specialist. This is his dream job!
Organizational Success
We worked with Opiikapawiin Services LP (OSLP) to create a Labour Pool Database, enabling the organization to connect employers with qualified job seekers. This initiative strengthened the workforce and improved access to employment opportunities in 24 communities.

Community Success
In Clyde River, we partnered with the community (Hunters and Trapper’s organization) as well as Baffin Fisheries and the program funder Kakivak to develop a shelter that provides a safe space for members when they are out on the land. This initiative supported numerous important IQ principles that enabled well-being and strengthened community resilience.
