Labour market programs for Indigenous people often focus on technical and trades training and certifications. But because of the multiple barriers that participants face, many are unable to complete the programs.

PMC has developed an innovative, holistic and integrated approach for Indigenous adults with multiple barriers to employment, known as the Integrated Pathway to Employment. The Pathway outlines an individual’s journey towards sustainable employment in an Indigenous context. It includes eight potential entry points to “the Pathway”, each offering a complement of activities to support clients in developing a broad range of skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to participate sustainably in the workforce.
